Caw Caw Caw. Excuse the shameless self promotion, but my latest novel has just been born, coincidentally on my 75th birthday. I would be honored if your club chose it for discussion sometime in the future.
Sincerely,
Ted Sabine

While I am not a member of your group, this posting popped up when I did my daily check on the latest news re CAI and Greg Mortenson.

How refreshing to know that you are choosing to read a book which so many folks now look at in horror! You are doing yourselves a great service. And, for anyone interested in an important statement of the Web-wide "discussion" (actually a melee by now) I recommend www.outsideonline.com's editorial dated June 14th.

Best wishes!

That is awesome! Thank you for the tip! The veggies pictured above all died, but I'm going to plant more outside tomorrow. I hope it's not too late but it seems we are having a late spring.

Hi.
I just now found your website and I have only read the "I Dream of Veggies" article but since it is planting time here in Spokane (yes, I live in north west spokane) I wanted to get this short note out to you. Do you know about, heard about, selfcontained garden boxes? A comercial brand would be "Earthbox". But, their are several websites of people with instructions for making cheap home made earthbox type garden boxes. I have made many of these and developed my own personal design as anyone could. They are easy to build. They conserve water, fertilizer, space and are weed free. And they can be placed anywhere from your regular garden space to your deck to your driveway if need be. I have built 17 of them and they are quite productive. And because they are above ground they can be moved when needed and really limit the amount of bending over you would have to do just harvest your veggies.
Hope this helps,
Bruce in Spokane <a href="http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php" title="Smiley" rel="nofollow"></a>

Cool Heather:) The skyride is worth it, but definitely feels a little like a "death trap" until you're done! I'm a little afraid of heights! The restaurant I think you're referring to is The Italian Kitchen maybe? Anyhow, this was a fun read, look forward to seeing you today;)
